International Day Of The Sick
The Maltese Association of the Order of Malta continued with its tradition of celebrating the International Day of the Sick by inviting several of “Our Lords the Sick” to hear Mass at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy at San Pawl tat-Targa followed by sharing time together during drinks and savouries at the end of the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
This celebration took place on Saturday, the 14th of February.
Dame Helene Zammit, Vice President of the Council, led many members of the Association and volunteers, members of VOTO in welcoming the guests as they were directed to their places in church.
Monsignor Brendan Gatt, Principal Chaplain of the Association celebrated Mass together with Monsignor Victor Zammit McKeon and Canon Michael Agius, Rector of the Church, who year after year makes the church and the halls available for this event.
In his homily, Mgr. Gatt, brought together an excellent explanation of the Gospel just read during Mass together with the fact the fact that the 14th of February was also Saint Valentine Day, dedicated to love.
Many of the guests were accompanied by their families and friends.
