Via Crucis at Fort St Angelo

H.E. Fra’ Jean Louis Mainguy, Knight Resident at Fort St. Angelo invited the Maltese Association to participate at the Via Crucis which was held on Saturday 29^th March at 7.00 p.m. at Fort St. Angelo in Birgu.

This was organised by the Parish Church of Vittoriosa, in collaboration with Heritage Malta, and the Sovereign Order.

Despite the inclement weather many members of the Maltese Association, led by the President, Dr Michael Grech, gathered at the top part of the Fort to participate in the event, together with many parishioners of the locality.

The Via Crucis was led by H.G. Mgr Charles Jude Scicluna, Metropolitan Archbishop of Malta. After the First Station, the prayers continued inside St Anne’s Chapel in the Fort due to the heavy rain and strong winds that prevailed.
