Demise of H.G. Mgr Paul Cremona O.P., Archbishop Emeritus

The Maltese Association regrets to announce the demise of H.G. Mgr Paul Cremona O.P., Archbishop Emeritus of Malta, on the 18th of March 2025 at the age of 79. Mgr. Cremona was Archbishop of Malta from the 2nd December 2006 until his retirement on the 18th October 2014.
The President of the Association, Dr Michael Grech, and the Association’s Officers, were invited to attend the funeral mass, held on Saturday the 22nd of March, led by H.E. The President of Malta, and other dignitaries.
Mass praesente cadavere was celebrated at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta by H.G. Mgr. Charles Jude Scicluna, Metropolitan Archbishop of Malta, and concelebrated by H.Emm. Mario Cardinal Grech, and H.L. Mgr Joseph Galea Curmi, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta and the Apostolic Nunzio, Mgr. Savio Hon Tai Fai amongst others.
It is recalled that Archbishop Emeritus Mgr Paul Cremona was a Conventual Chaplain Grand Cross ‘ad honorem’ of the Order of Malta and had participated at the Lourdes Pilgrimage in 2008, together with his late parents.
