First Friday Mass – Lourdes Medal Presentation

First Friday Mass was celebrated by Mgr Claude Portelli, Conventual Chaplain, at Our Lady of Victory Church in Valletta at 6:00pm.

The President of the Maltese Association, Dr. Michael Grech, assisted by the Administrative Secretary, Marchesino Josef Formosa Gauci, presented the awards after the homily.

The Council was very pleased to announce that, further to its recommendation, H.M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master and the Sovereign Council have approved the award of the Medaglia di Benemerenza – Pellegrinaggio a Lourdes to the Volunteers listed below, who have participated at the Order’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes for six years.

The Council was also pleased to announce that H.M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master and the Sovereign Council have also approved the award of the Medaglia di Benemerenza – Pellegrinaggio a Lourdes to the Volunteers listed below, who have participated at the Order’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes for five years. This follows a unanimous decision of the Council to, henceforth, recommend the conferral of the said medal on Volunteers following their fifth participation at the Order’s Pilgrimage to Lourdes, to bring the Maltese Association in line with the practice adopted by other Associations.
