VOTO Annual Autumn Lunch

November 17 2024

The Volunteers of the Order (VOTO), established in 1987, is a peripheral organisation to the Maltese Association and many a member of VOTO have, over the course of the years, become full Members of the Order. Its main purpose has always been to be the support needed by the Association in fulfilling its mission of help to our Lords the Sick and raise money through the organisation of a number of activities throughout the year, the proceeds of which go a long way to support the finances of the Association. VOTO also undertakes a number of stand alone activities throughout the course of the year, in furtherance of the charisms of the Order.

One such event is the Annual Autumn Lunch, a fixture in the calendar of activities of VOTO, held to outstanding success at Villa Arrigo, Naxxar on Sunday the 17th November.  Almost 300 guests attended the lunch that was preceded by Mass celebrated by the Principal Chaplain of the Association, Mgr Brendan Gatt. The exquisite canapes, lunch and dessert that followed were all home-made by members of VOTO.

The President of the Association, Dr Michael Grech, thanked the many VOTO members for their dedication and support to MASMOM and thanked the many Knights, Dames, Volunteers as well as family and friends who filled to full capacity the rooms of Villa Arrigo.
