Residential Complex for Refugees in Balzan

The Maltese Association Council has approved a Project for the construction of a number of units to house additional immigrant families with children at the Residential Complex for Refugees in Balzan. The aim is to provide better accommodation for these unfortunates before the winter kicks in. Works, which commenced this Autumn, are under the professional supervision of Dennis Kirkop. The Project is in an advanced stage of completion thanks to the dedicated efforts of a number of volunteers and labour resources generously provided by certain Members of the Association. The Project is expected to be officially inaugurated in the very near future. This is Phase One of what could be a larger project also involving the institution of a Day Centre in order to allow immigrant mothers easier access to the working world.
