Maltese Association Advent Retreat

St Joseph’s Convent Tal-Virtu’

More than fifty persons attended this year’s Advent retreat at St Joseph’s Retreat House in Rabat.

The gathering was indeed very privileged and fortunate to have His Lordship Auxiliary Bishop of Malta, Mgr Charles Scicluna to lead them through several meditations in a most erudite and compellingly searching manner. The speaker commanded complete attention and was indeed most appreciated by one and all.

The nuns as usual produced a lovely warm meal on this cold and rainy November day.

Confessions were heard before lunch and after lunch the Stations of the Cross took place in the small chapel within the retreat home. The final afternoon talk by Mgr Scicluna was followed by reciting the Holy Rosary. Holy Mass followed, bringing a very successful day to a close.
