International Summer Camp 2026
Every summer since 1984, the Order of Malta has organised its much-loved international summer camp, bringing together hundreds of young people with disabilities and volunteer helpers from across Europe and beyond.
This year, from 3rd to 9th August 2026, the beautiful town of Javier, Spain, will host the 41st Malta Camp, welcoming around 500 guests and volunteers from over 25 countries for a week of friendship, inclusion, and unforgettable memories.
Malta Camp is a unique celebration of unity beyond borders, offering an exciting programme of sports, cultural activities, music, and social events, alongside moments of prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth.
Throughout the week, volunteers are not simply there to assist their guests—they are there to build lasting friendships, share extraordinary experiences, and create memories that will remain with them for a lifetime. It is a holiday where everyone, guests and helpers alike, grows together.
Meeting so many people from different cultures in one place is a truly special experience. With participants representing more than 25 countries, everyone has the opportunity to share traditions, taste national delicacies, learn from one another, pray together in many languages, and celebrate the joy of being one international family.
Sports, parties, excursions, and creative activities are balanced with Holy Mass, moments of reflection, and opportunities to deepen our faith. Fraternity and service remain at the heart of the Order of Malta’s mission, reminding us that true joy is found in serving others with compassion and love.
The Maltese contingent, consisting of 13 participants, departed Malta today for Javier, Spain. The group is led by Julia Micallef, accompanied by Dr Leah Gové as medical Lead, and Rev. Dr. Jean Gové, as Spiritual Lead, who will support the contingent throughout the week as they proudly represent the Maltese Association of the Order of Malta.
