Lenten Retreat

The Lenten retreat of the Maltese Association was held at Manresa Retreat House in Victoria, Gozo, from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 March 2023.

The retreat was held in English and was guided by the Principal Chaplain, Fr. M. Brendan Gatt.

The theme of the retreat was Holy Ground: Where God meets us. (Exodus 3:5) “Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”

A Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady Ta’ Pinu took place on Saturday morning, where Mass was celebrated at 10:30. The homily was on the Parable of the Prodigal Son (LK 15: 1-3,.11-32).

The Via Crucis was held in the garden of Manresa House on Saturday afternoon.

The retreat came to an end on Sunday afternoon.

Fra Francis Vassallo, together with various members in Obedience, members – most with their spouses, aspirants and volunteers participated in this three-day religious event.
