Radisson Blue Resort – July Tea Party for the Young Maltese Association Patients

July 29 2014

[su_quote cite=”Henri Nouwen”]When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.[/su_quote]

A delicious and generous spread of eats beverages so painstakingly prepared and exquisitely displayed by the dedicated catering staff of the Radisson Blue Resort was attractively laid out in one of the lovely rooms of this charming hotel which lies on the water’s edge overlooking the beautiful St George’s Bay. This month the tea party was offered to all our young sick patients who have grown into one big happy family over the years. The children were excited to meet one another again and their mothers were so happy to be able to catch up with each other and the Maltese Association group of dedicated Lourdes volunteers. We have come to realize that these get-togethers give a boost to these young suffering families who have no choice, but to carry their daily problems with them everywhere and all the time. Our special child patients, despite having burdensome ailments at such a tender young age, were all smiles and laughter and seeing the devoted mothers so nicely dressed up for the occasion and able to relax for a few hours, was undoubtedly a most rewarding and priceless gift for us. Our special and heartfelt thanks goes to The Radisson Blu Resort, whose remarkable staff went so much out of their way to give our amazing guests a wonderful and most enjoyable afternoon to remember!
