Feast of St John the Baptist – Investiture and awards ceremony

On the occasion of the feast of St John the Baptist, the Patron Saint of our Order, Pontifical High Mass was celebrated by His Grace the Metropolitan Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Charles Jude Scicluna at St John’s Co-Cathedral on Sunday, 23 June 2024 at 9.30 a.m.

Following Mass, an investiture and awards ceremony took place in the Oratory of St John’s Co-Cathedral.

The Council is very pleased to announce that, further to its recommendations, H.M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master and the Sovereign Council have accepted to admit the following new members, as well as the conferment of awards within the Order pro Merito Melitensi as shown below.

The Chancellor, Dr Michael Grech, read the brevet issued by the Grand Master and after the blessing of the insignia by the Principal Chaplain, Mgr Brendan Gatt, the President, Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, presided over the ceremony.
