Exchange of Greetings

December 20 2023

On the 20^th December 2023 members of Council, led by the President Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, exchanged greetings with His Excellency Dr George Vella, President of the Republic, who was accompanied by his wife Mrs Miriam Vella, at the Palace, Valletta; with the Hon. Dr Robert Abela, Prime Minister, who was also accompanied by his wife Dr Lydia Abela, at the Auberge de Castille, Valletta; and with His Grace Mgr Charles Jude Scicluna, Archbishop of Malta, at the Archbishop’s Palace, Valletta.

His Grace the Archbishop pointed out that the New Year 2024 will mark Malta’s 60^th independence anniversary, auguring that due reflection would be laid on the virtues extolled by our national poet Dun Karm in his prayerful “Innu Malti”. He then presented a copy of his recently published book “L-Għanja ta’ Ħabib”, a collection of more than 120 poems written between 1975 and 2022, to each member of Council forming part of the delegation.
