Visit of Group of Medical Doctors from Austria in October
On the 26th October, our confrère H.E. Comm. Dr. George Gregory Buttigieg delivered an extremely informative hour-long PowerPoint presentation, titled “The Sacra Infermeria: 7 centuries of Hospitaller Medicine” to a number of Austrian medical doctors forming part of the group “Wissenschaft auf Reisen” (“Science on tour”) at the Westin Dragonara Hotel. This followed a request which was channelled to the Maltese Association last August through the offices of the Order’s Ambassador to Austria H.E. Christof Maria Fritzen.
The Hospitaller Dr. Kevin F. Dingli followed this up by giving a brief overview of the Association’s projects which are currently underway.
The Group then presented the Hospitaller with a generous €500 donation towards these good works which are being carried out.
We are most thankful to Dr. Buttigieg for immediately accepting this invitation, thereby supporting the Association’s projects, especially considering that it was his birthday on that very day.
