One’s life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others

The day started off with Holy Mass celebrated by The Rev. Mgr Paul Vella who was assisted by the Rev Canon Carmel Busuttil and popular hymns were sung to guitar accompaniment. This was followed by the serving of light refreshments. Helpers and Prison Inmates who are regularly visited by our Prison Ministry group, once again were given the opportunity to undertake some very salutary community service. The boys worked so hard and gave more than their fair share in a helping hand, they were so eager and enthusiastic to be involved in every possible way. a number of inmates participating in the Prison Ministry were given the opportunity to undertake some very salutary community service
Lunch was then served at 1.00 p.m. Excited children and their parents were able to tuck in and select meals from the different food outlets such as Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Cucina Italiana and Fat Harry’s.
Throughout the day, the children were entertained by two animators with face painting and balloon shaping, these activities kept them all happy and gave their parents some respite. After lunch lots of sweets were distributed to the children’s delight By 3.30 p.m. it was time to leave and our special families were given a panettone to take home and enjoy with their families.
By the end of the day, the helpers were all tired, but also so very pleased to have had a rewarding day with these unassuming and modest people.
Our great and profound thanks goes to the Malta International Airport, for making this wonderful event possible and helping us in our mission to reach out to the Sick and socially and economically challenged families.
