Christmas Eve Mass – Our Lady of Victory Church Valletta
Members of the Order and their families and friends gathered in Our Lady of Victory Church to celebrate Christmas Eve Mass.
The Rev. Mgr Victor Zammit McKeon celebrated Mass, assisted by the Rev. Canon Carmelo Busuttil.
Kevin Dingli and Paul & Andrew Sultana, all talented guitarists, enhanced the celebration of Holy Mass and inspired the spirit of Christmas with their music and the congregation joined in with the singing of carols.
The traditional sermon this year was pleasantly and adeptly narrated by the young Luca Sciortino who captured the hearts of all those present. Whilst the readings and bidding prayers were read by Arthur Galea Salomone and Stephen Ellul Sullivan respectively. President Philip Farrugia Randon read the Prayer of the Order at the end of Holy Mass.
After the church function, members and their families proceeded to Casa Lanfreducci where Christmas and New Year’s greetings were exchanged in the prevailing festive season’s spirit. All present were treated to a delicious assortment of food and warm mulled wine very kindly organized by the President’s wife, Helen. The enjoyable evening came to a close at 11.00 p.m.
