Children’s Party
Christmas is once again upon us and this year the Charity Events Committee launched their seasonal programme with the customary children’s party at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.
This year over two hundred and thirty children and about fifty accompanying adults packed into the Exhibition Hall at the hotel for an afternoon of noisy fun, plentiful food and entertainment.
Partytrap animators were once again engaged to organise activities for the children who were enthralled when Mickey Mouse, Mini Mouse and Donald Duck made their grand appearances mixing and mingling with the children
Abundant food provide by the hotel was served by Association members and volunteers who were also on hand to help with the organisation and the control of the children.
The Committee would like to thank the generosity of the Grand Hotel Excelsior who provided all the food and drink for everybody and M.I.A. who sponsored the transport. Without their help it would not be possible to organise this event and to them we are therefore deeply grateful.
Thanks are also due to members of the Association and volunteers who gave up their time to help ensure that the children had an enjoyable and memorable Christmas Party.
