Our acknowledgements and sincerest appreciation this month goes to our confrère, Justin Zammit Tabona and his competent staff at The Xara Lodge, who very kindly treated our patients to a pleasant tea party on this crisp afternoon. The Xara Lodge is tucked in the open Rabat countryside just below Mdina, offering scenic views, in a serene and relaxing setting. Our special guests were so eager to meet each other and the helpers once again!
Our special guests all have a particular story be it sad, tragic or sickness. They have known suffering, defeat, struggle and loss, and many of them have found their way out of the depths, back to the surface again. They have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. These beautiful people do not just happen, they become the special human beings they are after fighting through all their plights in silence. Giving them some of our time every month, has made us realize that what is really important is not how much we give, but how much love we put in the giving.
