Lourdes Patients Tea Party at The Xara Lodge L/o Rabat
Our acknowledgements and sincerest appreciation this month goes to our confrère Mr Justin Zammit Tabona and his efficient staff at The Xara Lodge, who very kindly treated our patients to a lovely tea party on this beautiful summer afternoon. The Xara Lodge is nestled in the open Rabat countryside just below Mdina, offering breath-taking views, in a tranquil ambiance, so it was an idyllic venue to entertain our special guests who were glowing with happiness to meet each other and us helpers once again!
Our patient friends all have a particular story be it sad, tragic or sickness. They have known suffering, defeat, struggle and loss, and many of them have found their way out of the depths, back to the surface again. They have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. These beautiful people do not just happen, they become the special human beings they are after fighting through all their plights in silence. Giving them some of our time every month, has made us realize that what is really important is not how much we give, but how much love we put into the giving.
