Concert in aid of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem and the Eye Hospital of Jerusalem
On Friday, 6th June, the concert in aid of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem and the Eye Hospital of Jerusalem, organised in conjunction with the Most Venerable Order of St. John took place at St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral in Valletta.
The Armed Forces Band of Malta played a mix of film and classical pieces to a full audience. SMOM’s Ambassador to Palestine and the President of the Holy Family Hospital Foundation, H.E. Michele Burke Bowe spoke about the dire situation in the Holy Land and expressed her gratitude for this fundraising event.
Concluding remarks were made by Dr. Michael Frendo, Knight of the Venerable Order and Chairman of the Council of St John Association in Malta, where after gifts were presented by MASMOM Vice President Dame Helene Zammit, to the Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, Band Master Major Jonathan Borg, Fr. Wright of St. Pauls, Bernice Caruana the Cathedral Administrator and the sacristan, Neil Hodgson.
Attendees were afterwards invited to drinks served in Independence Square.
