Signing Ceremony for new Operational Premises in Gozo

The Maltese Association today signed an important agreement with the Administrative Secretary of the Diocese of Gozo, Mr. Anthony Bezzina and with the Mgr Daniel Xerri, Archpriest of Xewkija, in representation of the Parish of St. John the Baptist in Xewkija, Gozo, in virtue of which premises at 19, Mgarr Road, Xewkija, were granted to the Association on title of commodatum for a period of 10 years, which original term is renewable.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Maltese Association by the President, Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata and by the Hospitaller, Dr. Kevin F. Dingli.

In attendance were also Mr. Chris Galea KM, on behalf of the Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo, as well as Mr. Raymond Xerri, Member.
The signing ceremony took place at the Bishop’s Curia in Gozo.
The premises in Xewkija, which will need to undergo refurbishment, will serve as the new operational base of the Maltese Association in Gozo, acting through its peripheral organisation the Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo.

The concession will also serve to further enhance the excellent cooperation which already exists between the Maltese Association and the Parish of St. John the Baptist in Xewkija, being the Order’s spiritual seat in the island of Gozo.
