The Hospitaller visits the Maltanskie Centrum Pomocy Dziecom in Krakow

The Hospitaller of the Maltese Association, Dr. Kevin F. Dingli, together with the Hospitaller of the Australian Association, Mr. John Murphy and his wife Tania, had the unique opportunity, after the close of the International Hospitallers’ Conference, to visit the Maltanskie Centrum Pomocy Dziecom, run by the Polish Association, in Krakow.
They were escorted to the Centre by Jacek Fraczek, Programme Manager Maltese Aid – Maltese Medical Service Poland, and were warmly greeted on arrival by its enthusiastic Director Mr. Blazej Wogorka.
This impressive centre, which opened its doors for service in 2006, caters for approximately 600 young children, up to the age of 7, all having special needs.
Facilities include a kindergarten, as well as a broad spectrum of medical and therapeutic services offered by professionals specialised in various disciplines, on a day care / outpatient basis.
A formal visit to the Centre had only just been made by H.M.E.H. the Grand Master Fra’ John Dunlap on Saturday 16 March 2024, when a commemorative plaque was unveiled.

The Maltese Association is currently engaged in active discussions with other collaborators having the aim of setting up unique work programmes and work related opportunities in Malta for persons with Down’s Syndrome.
