Christmas Eve Mass
Christmas Eve Mass was celebrated at St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta exclusively for members, volunteers and their families at 8.00 pm, with the kind permission of the Very Rev. Mgr. Paul Vella, Rector of St. John’s Co-Cathedral, who also celebrated the Mass.
Confrere Fredrick Mifsud Bonnici and Dame Karen Miller read the first and second readings whilst the bidding prayers were said by the Hospitaller, Dr Kevin Dingli.
The President, Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata recited the Prayer of the Order and addressed those present at the end of the Mass.
Seating was strictly according to the regulations of social distancing, and masks were worn at all times, except for receiving Holy Communion.
In view of the restrictions due to the current COVID pandemic, members and volunteers were to inform the Secretariat of their intention to attend beforehand, to ensure that adequate preparations were made.
The Mass was also transmitted live on the Association’s Instagram channel.
