Christmas Eve Mass at Fort St Angelo

Holy Mass was celebrated at the beautiful St. Anne’s Chapel, in the historical Fort St. Angelo on Christmas Eve, with the very kind permission of Fra’ John Critien, who also attended the event.
Members of the Maltese Association, volunteers and their families, lead by the President Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, filled the chapel to capacity to listen to Rev. Fr. Savio Vella’s most fitting homily.
The Chancellor, Dr Michael Grech and Council Member Mrs Karen Miller read the Prayers while the Hospitaller, Dr. Kevin F. Dingli and Mr. Paul Sultana performed a number of Christmas carols on guitar, with the entire congregation providing the chorus.
Following Holy Mass, attendees were treated to warm mulled wine and to a reception which was held at the Palace, where those present exchanged Christmas greetings.
Whilst this is something of a challenging venue in terms of logistics, chauffeur driven electric cars were made available for the occasion, providing transport for those wishing to avoid the steep climb to the Fort.
