Afternoon Christmas Tea at Sir Paul Boffa Home for the Elderly

Around 50 residents at the Sir Paul Boffa Home for the Elderly, under the loving care of Nurse Juliet Pace and her team, were treated to an Afternoon Christmas Tea by various members and volunteers of the Maltese Association on Tuesday 10 December 2019, co-ordinated by Dame Karen Miller.
The Maltese Association organises regular visits to the residents who have made the place their home, continuing the long association which had been established there when the building served as the former Oncology Hospital and the refreshment trolley service now offered at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre was made available there.
The event, led by the President Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, was held at the Activity Hall of the Home.
Entertainment in the form of Christmas Carols was provided by a group of guitarists led by the Hospitaller Dr. Kevin F. Dingli.
The highlight of proceedings came about when a portly and cheerful Father Christmas made his appearance, distributing gifts to all concerned.
