Hospitallers’ Breakfast in Lourdes
The Maltese Association hosted the traditional Hospitallers’ Breakfast in Lourdes for the very first time on Monday 6 May 2018.
The President Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata and the Vice-President Major Raymond Miller joined the Hospitaller Dr. Kevin F. Dingli in warmly welcoming all attendees, who were also briefly addressed by the President at the start of proceedings.
The event, which was held at a dedicated meeting room in the Hotel Padoue, was attended by Hospitallers of the various Grand Priories, Sub-Priories and National Associations of the Sovereign Order of Malta’s who at the time were participating in the Order’s annual international pilgrimage to Lourdes, and also included officials of the Global Fund for Forgotten People.
Gracing the occasion by their presence were the Grand Chancellor H.E. Albrecht Freiherr von Boeselager and the Grand Hospitaller H.E. Dominique Prince de La Rochefoucauld-Montbel, only very recently re-elected by the Chapter General and re-confirmed in their respective officer positions on Sovereign Council .
The Hospitallers’ Breakfast is an informal get together for Hospitallers, allowing opportunity for further discussion beyond the exchange of pleasantries and comes in the wake of the annual international Hospitallers Conference which this year was held in Rome.
