Investiture & Decoration Ceremony in the Oratory of St John’s Co-cathedral
Eve of the Feast of Candelmas
Maltese Association members led by President Philip Farrugia Randon, processed into the Oratory, for the occasion with families and guests of the persons being invested and decorated.
The ceremony was most ably conducted by the Chancellor of the Maltese Association , Marchesino Comm. Daniel de Petri Testaferrata with the support of the Association’s Master of Ceremonies, Major Raymond Miller.
The ceremony commenced when Mgr Lawrence Gatt, Maltese Association Principal Chaplain blessed the decorations and then continued with Holy Mass in Latin.

Mr Frederick Mifsud Bonnici having fulfilled his preparatory period as Aspirant, was welcomed into the Order to the rank of Donat of Devotion.

The ‘Medaglia di Benemerenza – Pellegrinaggi a Lourdes’ was also conferred onto a number of individuals who participated in the Association’s pilgrimage to Lourdes on at least five occasions :

After the ceremony, members of the Order and guests walked to Casa Lanfreducci to end the evening with some good food and drinks. It was indeed a most special occasion.
