First Friday Mass – 3rd October.

At the invitation of the Reverend Dr Nicholas Joseph Doublet, President of The Jesuits’ Church Foundation, Members of the Maltese Association came together on the First Friday of October, to hear Mass at The Immacolata Oratory. As from the early 16^th century, the Confraternity of the Immaculate Conception brought together the Jesuit Fathers who had arrived in Malta a few years earlier, together with Knights of the Order of Malta coming from al the Langues.

Mass was celebrated by Canon Doublet, himself a Magistral Chaplain. Present were members of the Council, led by its President Dr Michael Grech. Also in attendance was Fra Francis Vassallo, Keeper of the Common Good, a Member of the Sovereign Council. A delegation from the Association of Romania were guests of the Maltese one.
