Civil Protection Level 1 Course

A 2-day Civil Protection Level 1 Course offered by the Corpo Italiano Soccorso Ordine di Malta (CISOM) in collaboration with the Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo (OMVG) was launched today at the Lourdes Retreat Home in Ghajnsielem, Gozo.

A brief opening address was delivered by the Hospitaller Dr. Kevin Dingli, who extended a warm welcome to CISOM Director Dr. Graziano Cascone and his delegation, and thanked all other participants for their attendance.

The Hospitaller recalled the fruitful Twinning Agreement which had been concluded between CISOM and the OMVG last year, in consequence of which such important training courses starting with last year’s First Aid Course are being made available.

Speakers on this Course include CISOM Instructor Ing. Franco Loru, Canine SAR Team Leader Mr. Simon Briffa and CISOM Helicopter ER Medical Doctor Dr. Danilo Tolomeo.

Participants include amongst others the Head of Civil Protection in Gozo, members of the Association’s Canine SAR Team as well as various members of the OMVG.
