Annual Orchestral Charity Concert
The Annual Orchestral Charity Concert celebrating the Feast Day of St John the Baptist, Patron Saint of the Order of Malta was held on the 13 June 2018.
The Maltese Association’s Charity Concert Committee headed by the indomitable Dr Pascal Demajo and the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation, presented the Eight Annual Orchestral Concert with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra lead by Marcelline Agius, the Resident Conductor Prof. Michael Laus with the participation of Tenor Juan Gambina and the Goldberg Ensemble Choir. The programme took the audience on a pleasant musical trip, giving a brilliant performance of works by Bach, Gibbons, Handel and Haydn.
The lovely evening came to an end with a reception in the prestigious Neptune’s courtyard of the Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta.
Maltese Association President Daniel de Petri Testaferrata together with Dr Pascal Demajo, chairman of the Charity Concert Committee briefly addressed the audience at the Co-Cathedral and thanked them for their precious support. Their heartfelt thanks and appreciation were also given to H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of the Republic of Malta for her generous and gracious hospitality.
The Concert is organised in aid of the philanthropic activities of the Maltese Association of the Order of Malta.
