Opening of a New Annex at Good Shepherd Residential Complex for Irregular Migrants
Very recently the Maltese Association Council approved a project for the construction of a number of units to house additional immigrant families with children at the Residential Complex for Refugees in Balzan. The aim is to provide better accommodation for these unfortunate immigrants. Works, which commenced this Autumn, are nearing completion thanks to the dedicated efforts of a number of volunteers and labour resources generously provided by some members of the Association. On Sunday 19 January, His Lordship Bishop Charles Scicluna visited the centre and viewed the good work completed so far and which can already start receiving some immigrants. More work will continue, hopefully to be completed within a short time.
