The Volunteers of The Order organised the yearly Fundraising Autumn Lunch at Villa Arrigo last Sunday, 19th November 2023. This was very well attended with 200 adults, 32 children and 21 volunteers helping throughout the day.
The afternoon commenced with holy mass celebrated by Mgr Claude Portelli. Following mass, welcome drinks and different appetisers were served by volunteering helpers. The seated lunch consisted of a mushroom risotto entrée, the traditional slow roasted pork, along with a selection of sides including honey glazed carrots, roast potatoes, peas and pancetta, and a cauliflower and broccoli au gratin. Children were served a homemade timpana. Delicious desserts and petit fours generously prepared by numerous volunteers were then served with coffee. The afternoon was capped off with an exciting raffle featuring 12 prizes, which were generously donated by various parties, plus an extra prize that was handmade and donated by one of our volunteers.
This event was organised by the dedicated team behind VOTO Council, and its success is significantly attributed to the efforts of our various volunteers who played a crucial role in preparing and serving the food. Without their invaluable assistance, we would not have been able to host such a successful gathering. VOTO Council extend their heartfelt thanks to all the sponsors, supporters, and donors who played a part, as well as to all those that attended.
