The annual Christmas Drinks for VOTO members was held at Drift Meze/Cafe and was attended by 42 members. It was a successful evening where everyone relaxed and enjoyed each others company in an informal setting.

The very successful fund-raising Autumn Lunch was once again held at Villa Arrigo which was organised and put together by a sub committee who worked very hard for this event. The lunch was attended by 187 patrons and was a great fund-raising event which generated a substantial amount of money.
A very unique outing was organised this year for 75 special guests. Following a personal invitation by Her Excellency The President of Malta, arrangements were made and a mass was held at The Chapel of St. Anthony known as the Russian Chapel followed by high tea in the beautiful gardens of the palace. The President welcomed all the guests with open arms and had a kind word for each and every one, it was a lovely event with beautiful memories made.
A pizza and pasta evening was organised for our special friends, which was held at a very spacious restaurant in Sliema able to accommodate a good number of wheelchairs. 72 special friends where hosted and accompanied by 17 volunteers. Many of the wheelchair bound friends expressed their gratitude for these special evenings as it gave them opportunity to socialize with others in a comfortable environment.
The Nuns of Mother Theresa together with children in their care, were entertained to a private beach swim and were served food and drinks prepared by the Volunteers of the Order.
The nuns thanked all those who looked after them and much appreciated their gesture.
The Lourdes Reunion was held on 2 July 2015 as a fund raising event, in the gardens of a private residence. About 110 patrons, most of them being personnel who had been to Lourdes in May 2015, participated. The evening was a great success set in a relaxed ambience, where a welcome cocktail, good food and wine were served.
A day’s outing to Gozo was held on the 13 June 2015 for 72 special friends, who were accompanied by 15 helpers. They boarded the 9.00am boat and arrived at a private residence in Gharb at 10.00am. Mass was said at the garden after which the guests were treated to drinks and some eats. A visit to the miraculous painting of Our Lady at the Basilica of Ta’ Pinu in Gharb followed.
The guests were taken to a renowned hotel by the seaside where they were treated to a very nice lunch and after a seaside stroll, all headed back to the port to catch the 4.30pm boat.
A dinner for ladies was organised at the New Dolmen Hotel in Qawra. Transport was available to those who were wheelchair bound. In all 22 guests, and 7 helpers attended. Everybody had a great time, and could socialize whilst they were served a sumptuous dinner. By 10.00pm all were taken back to their residences.
A full day activity /outing to Gozo was organised by Volunteers of the Order on the 18th May for a group of the special friends/malades who in the past have accompanied us on our pilgrimage to Lourdes . This was one of a series of activities , known as our ‘Follow-Ups’ organised for our ‘ special friends ‘ during the year .This activity was a great success with about 75 of our ‘friends’ attending accompanied by 20 Volunteers of the Order helpers .The day started on arrival in Gozo with Holy Mass specifically for our group in Ghasri parish church and after a break for drinks and pastizzi the group made its way for an ‘al fresco ‘ lunch at the Ta Mena estate .Even the rather increment weather did not manage to dampen our spirits and it was a truly memorable day with a most enjoyable time had by all.
