Order of Malta presents wheelchairs and ancillaries to Ta’ Pinu
The Order of Malta also presented two heavy-duty wheelchairs and other ancillaries to Ta’ Pinu Shrine in order to assist those sick and elderly pilgrims who visit the shrine. The presentation to Rector Fr Gerard Buhagiar was held after the Opening of the Door of the Gubilee of Mercy Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Gozo. The Order of Malta intends to assist in various Pilgrimages at Ta’ Pinu and has also presented a special nursing bed for a day care ward with the collaboration of the Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo.
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo are already providing transport of pilgrims with special needs to Ta’ Pinu.
