Visits to Sir Paul Boffa Hospital
The Maltese Association has launched a new Project involving fortnightly visits to elderly residents at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital in Floriana. Some residents receive very few visitors, and some receive none at all, so we intend to provide some company to this group in particular. This Project also witnesses the re-establishment of the historic ties which existed when, for many years, the Association would render service to the Oncology Unit. The refreshment trolley service migrated to the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre some years ago.
This initiative started originally when residents at SIr Paul Boffa Hospital were invited to a variety of the Association’s activities, including the Ta’ Pinu Pilgrimage and the Verdala Palace Tea Party. One future activity connected with this project will be a Tea Party, possibly around Christmas. Through this activity our members and volunteers aim to ‘adopt’ the residents at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital.
